Vienna Historical Society Meeting – November 30, 2010 – 7:00 p.m.

Agenda and discussions:

  1. Treasurer Report – Dallas Woodall gave report for January 1, 2010 through November 30, 2010 which included the following:
    • $170.00 – Membership Dues
    • $130.00 – Unrestricted gifts
    • $300.00 – Restrict Gifts (Designated for Trophy Case)
    • $182.00 – Merchandise Sales
    • $199.95 – Expenses
    • $582.05 – Balance as of 11/30/2010.
  2. Fundraising - decided not to have separate committees.  All members would work on everything.
  3. Election of officers were held as follows by unanimous concensus:
    • President (1 year term) – Michele Garman
    • Vice-President (1 year term) – Phil Pegg
    • Secretary (1 year term) – Vicki Anzur
    • Treasurer (1 year term) – Dallas Woodall
  4. Election of Board Members were held as follows by vote:
    • Pamela Clower  - 4 years
    • Christine Novicky – 2013
    • Pam Klinger – 2012
    • Donna Schieffer – 2012
    • Dallas Woodall – 2013
    • Michele Garman – 2011
    • Phil Pegg – 2011
    • Vicki Anzur – 2011
    • Shirley Wajda – 2012
    • Wine Tasting – Michele read email comments and concerns about holding this type of event, along with her reply.  After discussion approved having Wine Tasting at WineStyles in Howland on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  5. Civil War – Discussed the following:
    • List of soldiers
    • Memorial Day – rededication of monument.
    • Cemetery Walk
    • Encampment/reenactment
    • Book/Website/Pamphlet
    • Special markers for graves – Heidi Brown will get prices for these
    • Other – Approved by consensus to have mugs made with monument and Civil War veterans listed.
  6. Hull House Mugs will be next in series in January 2011.
  7. Talked about hay rake.
  8. VHS Clothing – Reiterated that “Vienna Historical Society” needs to be printed under the VT logo. 
  9. Approved by consensus to keep 2011 dues at $10.00.                   
  10. Will have records archiving in December 2010.
  11. December – No meeting will be held.
