Approval of minutes from January 2013 & March 2013.

Thank You note sent to Dan Mathey for March Program.

47 people attended Wine Taste. Suggested by Phil to move wine taste back to February, near Valentine’s Day.

Craft Show at MHS by Mathews Little Mustangs. Table space donated by MLM, good exposure, Christine thanked the craft show committee.

Historical marker: did not receive grant, but pressing forward since we have raised the funds for it.  Marker was topic of recent article in Tribune by Bob Copeland.  Need to determine placement, re-wording, & total cost.

Will visit MHS in fall to recruit students – Mr. Marsh, Mr. Jeff Parent.

Valerie Lattin, Kent State – internship ended but insists that she will help this summer.

VHS to hold a 50-50 raffle at H.F. Everett Car Show on May 19, 2013.
        Volunteers: Pam K, Pam C, Phil, 2-5 PM.

Will send a $50 donation to Packard Museum on behalf of Dan Mathey.

Noted passing of member Richard Novicky on 4/11/13.

Set dates for Summer Cemetery Preservation:  June 15, July 13, Aug. 10 @ 9AM-12 PM.
        Water to be provided, no lunch (didn’t bring in more people last summer).

Fall program plans: Idora Park History & Friends of Ohio Barns.  Rick Davis said he could give a 20 minute Kennywood history for a program.

Voting to purchased a Digital Voice Recorder for oral histories. Converts recordings to MP3-use on computer. Need a release form to record anyone.

Board for Archives - Historical Record Retention - Fall project.

        Carol & Dean Scott – Vienna Fire in Western Reserve Newspaper

Home Day is Aug. 24, 2013, 11 AM – 4 PM. Sell merchandise and have a basket raffle, along with literature, possibly sponsor games if enough help.

Memorial Day – VHS to pass out brochures and walk in procession to monument.
